Back to everything we do to sell your home
This is an example. The home, the people and every figure are made up to show what you receive. It is not a real sale and not a value for any home.
Example closing and moving plan
The plan your agent sends once you accept an offer: what to do when, what to bring on closing day, how to protect your money, and what we still do for you after the keys are handed over.

Your Market Report for your new home, and a note from your agent
Before, during and after closing
Before closing day
- Book the movers
- Transfer or stop electricity, gas, water, internet and rubbish collection, from the day after closing
- Forward your mail
- Leave the garage remotes, spare keys, gate and alarm codes, and the appliance manuals in a kitchen drawer
- Leave paint colours, warranty papers and the names of your service people for the buyer
The final walk-through
- Everything agreed in the inspection response is done, with receipts on the counter
- Every appliance that stays is working, and the home is broom clean
- Nothing left behind that the contract did not include
At signing
- Photo ID
- The bank details for your proceeds, given to the title company by phone, never by email
- Your mortgage account number, so the title company can pay it off
- Any keys not left at the home
After closing
- Cancel your home insurance only once the sale has recorded, never before
- Keep your closing statement with your tax papers
- Transfer your home warranty to the buyer if the contract says so
- Check that your mail is reaching your new address
Protect your proceeds
Criminals send fake emails with new bank instructions at closing. Before giving or changing any bank details, call the title company at a number you already have, never one from an email. We will never email you bank instructions.
